Le sol permet de r\u00e9guler les flux entre l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re, les nappes souterraines et les cours d\u2019eau.<\/p>\n<p>Le sol joue \u00e9galement le r\u00f4le de r\u00e9servoir d\u2019eau, avec trois cat\u00e9gories dans l\u2019horizon de surface\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>L\u2019eau de gravit\u00e9 ou de saturation, qui occupe temporairement les larges pores du sol. Elle n\u2019est disponible pour les plantes que quelques jours apr\u00e8s une pluie avant de s\u2019\u00e9couler par ruissellement dans les nappes jusqu\u2019au point de ressuyage.<\/li>\n<li>L\u2019eau inutilisable (ou hygroscopique), car retenue, par une forte tension, autour des particules les plus fines du sol ou les plus fins capillaires.<\/li>\n<li>Enfin, l\u2019eau disponible pour les plantes, contenue dans la r\u00e9serve utile (RU), qui se compose de la r\u00e9serve facilement utilisable (RFU) et la r\u00e9serve de survie (RS). Sous l\u2019effet de l\u2019\u00e9vapotranspiration et de l\u2019absorption par les racines des plantes, la RFU s\u2019\u00e9puise progressivement. R\u00e9sultat, le sol, s\u2019il n\u2019est pas aliment\u00e9, s\u2019ass\u00e8che, atteignant la RS\u00a0: les plantes passent alors en stress hydrique.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Les bonnes pratiques \u00e0 privil\u00e9gier pour entretenir la r\u00e9serve en eau du sol<\/h2>\n<p>L\u2019alimentation hydrique des cultures \u00e9tant primordiale, il s\u2019agit donc d\u2019optimiser le r\u00f4le d\u2019\u00e9ponge du sol, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire sa capacit\u00e9 de r\u00e9tention en eau pour assurer la disponibilit\u00e9 aux racines de chaque plante. Cela passe par l\u2019augmentation du taux de mati\u00e8re organique qui contribue, entre autres, \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la porosit\u00e9 du sol et sa r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la compaction et \u00e0 limiter l\u2019\u00e9rosion. Il faut \u00e9galement \u00eatre vigilant au tassement du sol, qui a un impact sur la RU, en diminuant le niveau de stockage d\u2019eau possible et la capacit\u00e9 d\u2019enracinement des cultures.<\/p>\n<p>Pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ces objectifs, il existe plusieurs bonnes pratiques \u00e0 mettre en place selon le contexte technico-\u00e9conomique de l\u2019exploitation, au choix de l\u2019agriculteur\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Limiter les exportations de mati\u00e8re organique (gestion des r\u00e9sidus, des couverts v\u00e9g\u00e9taux\u2026), en apporter au sol si c\u2019est possible ;<\/li>\n<li>Assurer la couverture des sols \u00e0 l\u2019interculture\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>En mati\u00e8re de travail du sol, recourir aux techniques culturales simplifi\u00e9es et \u00e9viter le labour ;<\/li>\n<li>Soigner les conditions d\u2019intervention dans les champs\u00a0: attendre le ressuyage des parcelles avant les chantiers, choisir un tracteur avec des pneus adapt\u00e9s et v\u00e9rifier la pression de gonflage, bien r\u00e9gler les attelages\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ces diff\u00e9rents leviers vont par cons\u00e9quent favoriser la vie souterraine, assurant un sol stable et poreux, via la pr\u00e9sence de ces d\u00e9composeurs de mati\u00e8re organique : vers de terre \u2013 consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme les \u00ab charrues \u00bb du sol -, bact\u00e9ries, champignons\u2026 Parmi ces derniers, les types mycorhiziens, combin\u00e9s aux racines de la culture, facilitent l\u2019absorption d\u2019eau et de nutriments.<\/p>\n<p>En compl\u00e9ment, il existe des solutions \u00e0 appliquer en culture, \u00e0 base de substances naturellement pr\u00e9sentes dans les plantes, leur permettant de mieux g\u00e9rer leur ressource en eau et donc de r\u00e9duire l\u2019impact du stress hydrique. C\u2019est ainsi que BEST-a, EliSun-a et EliGrain-a, \u00e0 base de phytost\u00e9rols, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 sp\u00e9cifiquement formul\u00e9s pour adapter la physiologie de la plante pour permettre aux cultures de ma\u00efs, tournesol et orge de printemps \u00e0 mieux r\u00e9sister aux p\u00e9riodes de manque d&rsquo;eau. Leur utilisation permet \u00e0 la plante de consommer moins d\u2019eau, de 10 \u00e0 20 %, et de pr\u00e9server ainsi la ressource disponible dans la r\u00e9serve utile du sol plus longtemps. R\u00e9sultat, des sols et des plantes moins impact\u00e9s par les p\u00e9riodes de manque d\u2019eau et une pr\u00e9servation des rendements.<\/p>\n\n            <div style=\"clear: both;\"><\/div>\n
