En Afrique australe, pr\u00e8s de <strong>45 % des surfaces de ma\u00efs ont subi des pertes majeures<\/strong> dans certaines zones. Et d\u00e9j\u00e0, les agences climatiques internationales alertent sur un possible retour du ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne d\u00e8s 2026\u00b9.<\/p>\n<p>Pour l\u2019agriculture, le message est clair : <strong>les \u00e9pisodes climatiques extr\u00eames deviennent plus fr\u00e9quents, plus intenses et plus difficiles \u00e0 anticiper<\/strong>. S\u00e9cheresses, irr\u00e9gularit\u00e9 des pr\u00e9cipitations, coups de chaleur ou stress hydrique s\u2019installent d\u00e9sormais comme des risques structurels pour les grandes cultures.<\/p>\n\n            <div style=\"clear: both;\"><\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"cbo-text cbo-margin-container\">\n    <div class=\"\n        text-inner\n                cbo-container\n        container--small        \"\n    >\n        <div class=\"text-content cbo-cms cms--large\">\n            <h2>El Ni\u00f1o : un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne naturel aux cons\u00e9quences mondiales<\/h2>\n<p>El Ni\u00f1o est un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne climatique naturel li\u00e9 au r\u00e9chauffement anormal des eaux du Pacifique tropical. Il fait partie du cycle ENSO (<em>El Ni\u00f1o Southern Oscillation<\/em>), qui alterne entre phases chaudes (El Ni\u00f1o), phases froides (La Ni\u00f1a) et p\u00e9riodes neutres.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00eame si ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne se produit \u00e0 des milliers de kilom\u00e8tres des parcelles europ\u00e9ennes, ses effets sont mondiaux. Lorsque les temp\u00e9ratures du Pacifique augmentent, les r\u00e9gimes climatiques se d\u00e9r\u00e8glent : certaines r\u00e9gions connaissent des pluies excessives, tandis que d\u2019autres subissent des d\u00e9ficits hydriques prolong\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Pour l\u2019agriculture, ces d\u00e9s\u00e9quilibres se traduisent souvent par des p\u00e9riodes de s\u00e9cheresse, des pluies mal r\u00e9parties et des stress hydriques pendant les phases critiques des cultures.<\/p>\n<p><em>Comme le rappelle la NOAA\u00b3 :\u00a0\u201cEl Ni\u00f1o modifie les temp\u00e9ratures et les pr\u00e9cipitations \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle mondiale.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Autrement dit, <strong>aucun bassin agricole n\u2019est totalement isol\u00e9 de ses cons\u00e9quences<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n            <div style=\"clear: both;\"><\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"cbo-quote\">\n    <div class=\"quote-inner cbo-container container--small\">\n\n        <div class=\"quote-infos\">\n            <i class=\"icon icon-quote\"><\/i>\n\n                            NOAA : National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration                    <\/div>\n       \n        <div class=\"quote-content cbo-title-3\">\n\t\t\t\u201cEl Ni\u00f1o modifie les temp\u00e9ratures et les pr\u00e9cipitations \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle mondiale.\u201d\t\t<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<section class=\"cbo-text cbo-margin-container\">\n    <div class=\"\n        text-inner\n                cbo-container\n        container--small        \"\n    >\n        <div class=\"text-content cbo-cms cms--large\">\n            <h2>Un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne qui devient plus impactant dans un climat plus chaud<\/h2>\n<p>El Ni\u00f1o n\u2019est pas nouveau. Les grands \u00e9pisodes de 1997-1998, 2015-2016 puis 2023-2024 ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 marqu\u00e9 l\u2019agriculture mondiale. R\u00e9sultat : <strong>les sols se dess\u00e8chent plus vite<\/strong>, l\u2019\u00e9vapotranspiration augmente et les cultures entrent plus rapidement en d\u00e9ficit hydrique.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<section class=\"cbo-text cbo-margin-container\">\n    <div class=\"\n        text-inner\n                cbo-container\n        container--small        \"\n    >\n        <div class=\"text-content cbo-cms cms--large\">\n            <p>Pour les agriculteurs, cela signifie une variabilit\u00e9 climatique plus forte d\u2019une campagne \u00e0 l\u2019autre, mais aussi au sein m\u00eame d\u2019une saison culturale.<\/p>\n<p>Les rep\u00e8res historiques deviennent moins fiables. Quant au tournesol, souvent consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme plus tol\u00e9rant, il subit lui aussi des pertes de potentiel lorsque les stress s\u2019installent durablement au moment du remplissage.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<section class=\"cbo-text cbo-margin-container\">\n    <div class=\"\n        text-inner\n                cbo-container\n        container--small        \"\n    >\n        <div class=\"text-content cbo-cms cms--large\">\n            <p>Au-del\u00e0 des rendements, El Ni\u00f1o perturbe aussi les calendriers culturaux. Certaines campagnes commencent avec des semis retard\u00e9s faute d\u2019humidit\u00e9 suffisante.
