Elicit Plant launches EliZon, a new solution for soybeans in the Brazilian market

Elicit Plant, a specialist in agri-biotech solutions, continues its international expansion by launching EliZon, an innovative new biostimulant designed to improve the resilience of soybean crops in Brazil against water stress. This launch marks a key milestone in Elicit Plant’s strategy to address global climate challenges.

EliZon launch Brazil 2024

During Elicit Talks, an exclusive event held in Porto Alegre on September 11, Elicit Plant unveiled EliZon, a bio-solution for soybeans developed to reduce plant water consumption and enhance productivity, even under extreme climatic conditions. This innovation, the result of several years of research, is tailored to meet the challenges of the Brazilian market, particularly in terms of drought and water stress.

The “Elicit Talks” program brought together several experts to discuss the challenges of Brazilian agriculture and the technological solutions available to tackle them. Felipe Sulzbach, Director of Elicit Plant Brazil, opened the event by emphasizing the importance of innovations in addressing recent climate challenges. He reminded the audience that “input prices, production costs, and extreme weather events are major concerns for producers.”

Antônio da Luz, an economist, highlighted the economic impact of droughts and low commodity prices on farmers. “In a context where global commodity prices are declining, it is essential to improve the efficiency of our operations and reconsider our choices to maximize returns on investment,” he advised.

Meanwhile, Estael Sias, Director of MetSul Meteorologia, explained how increasingly frequent extreme weather events are affecting the agricultural sector. “We are facing a very serious situation. The Central and Southeast regions of the country are lacking rainfall, and these new technologies will be crucial in strengthening crop resilience in the face of adverse climatic conditions,” she emphasized.

Mayra Juline Gonçalves, CEO of Plant Colab, urged producers to focus on optimizing available resources rather than expanding land. “The climate is changing year by year, and we must learn to use technological tools to better manage these transformations,” she insisted.

Murilo Monteiro de Moraes, Marketing Manager of Elicit Plant Brazil, stated:

“Efficiency is truly the key word. In the face of increasing climate uncertainties, EliZon not only optimizes water use but also ensures greater crop resilience, thereby enhancing the sustainability and productivity of farming operations.”

Karol Czelusniak, Business Development Manager at Elicit Plant Brazil, concluded: “EliZon represents a decisive breakthrough for Brazilian producers. This solution can overcome current climate challenges while delivering concrete and measurable results in the field.”

EliZon: An innovative solution for more sustainable agriculture

The development of EliZon is the result of three years of research and more than 25 trials conducted in partnership with Brazilian research institutes and large-scale farmers. These trials showed an average yield increase of 274 kg/ha, proving the effectiveness of this new solution. By optimizing water use in plants, EliZon enables crops to better withstand periods of water shortage, resulting in significant productivity gains, especially in the context of severe droughts affecting Brazil.

An international expansion aligned with the climate emergency

The launch of EliZon in Brazil marks a new step in Elicit Plant’s global strategy to offer innovative solutions tailored to key markets. After successful launches in France, Europe, and Ukraine, the company plans to expand to the United States by 2025, further cementing its role as a leader in the fight against climate change in the agricultural sector.

Jean-François Déchant, CEO of Elicit Plant, states:
